Tokyo Disney Resort just held its first same-sex wedding! The country doesn’t have marriage equality quite yet, but these happy brides are a glowing example of what might be coming for LGBT couples in Japan.

This is lsie Liao and Mayu Yu from Beijing, China. On Monday, they walked into their local registry to try and apply for a marriage license. As expected, they were turned away.
But instead of going quietly, the two girls fired so many questions about LGBT rights at the official that he “retreated into a back room”. Score.

Amazing news. The lower house of the French Parliament (Assemblée Nationale) voted 329 to 229 today for the right to marry who you love. Huge!

To counteract the demonstration against mariage pour tous that was held in Paris last Sunday, there is a manif for marriage equality this afternoon at 2pm. It begins at Denfert-Rochereau and ends at Place de la Bastille.
You don’t have to be marching with French citizens to make a difference for French marriage equality!
